 Safeguarding at EAS Mechanical Limited

At EAS Mechanical Limited, the safety and well-being of students and visitors are our top priorities. We are committed to providing a secure and positive learning environment where all apprentices feel safe and supported, ensuring they can thrive throughout their time at our training centre.

Our safeguarding approach encompasses everyone at EAS Mechanical Limited, including staff, students, and visitors, with a particular focus on young people under 18 and individuals identified as vulnerable. We acknowledge that vulnerability can arise at any time, and we take our responsibility seriously to monitor and respond to changes in circumstances for all individuals on site.

All EAS staff members are DBS-checked and undergo safeguarding training to remain informed about the latest laws, regulations, and best practices. This ensures our team is equipped to handle safeguarding concerns effectively.

We fulfill our statutory obligations as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024), supported by the Education Act 2011 and the Children Act 1989, including provisions for children in need and addressing significant harm risks. Our safeguarding framework is communicated clearly to staff through our Designated Safeguard Lead (Eamon Wilson) and external training programmes, enabling them to address concerns appropriately and efficiently.
While EAS Mechanical Limited’s role is not investigative, we collaborate closely with Social Care, Health agencies, and law enforcement when necessary, in line with established procedures such as the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Procedures and the Northamtponshire Safeguarding Adults Policy & Procedure.

Staying Safe Online

In today's digital age, social media platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram are widely used by students. However, it's vital to exercise caution and responsibility when sharing content online.
To protect your reputation and personal safety, avoid posting sensitive or incriminating information that could lead to harmful consequences. Be mindful of the permanence and reach of online content. If something or someone upsets you online, report it to the relevant platform, use blocking or deleting features, and inform EAS Mechanical Limited’s Designated Safeguard Lead.
Never share inappropriate images or personal information, especially with unknown individuals. Remember, once content is posted, it cannot be taken back. Protect yourself by considering the consequences before engaging.

Respect copyright laws and ensure you access music, films, and TV through legal means. Report any illegal activity or concerning behaviour to the authorities and notify EAS Mechanical Limited if you are worried about the actions of fellow students.
